David Clifton Hendley, Jr, 72, of Nashville, died Wednesday February 2, 2022 in the Tift Regional Medical Center.

He was born January 26, 1950 in Lowndes County to the late David Clifton Hendley and the late Sarah Katherine Gray Hendley. He was a farmer, owner of Ag-Aviators and co-owner of Long Bridge Peanut Company. He was a member of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a sister: Janice Hendley.

He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Byrd Hendley of Nashville; daughter: Shae (David) Shepard of Nashville; 2 sons: Cliff (Mandy) Hendley of Nashville and Lyle (Kayla) Hendley of Nashville; brother: Wayne (Carol) Hendley of Nashville; 9 grandchildren: Sally, Whit, Grace, Jack, Paxton, Sam, Will, Drew and Byrdie.

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 5, 2022 at 11 AM in the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Stone and Rev. Riley O'Berry officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday at the church one hour prior the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
