David Lee Rentz, 65, of Lakeland died Thursday, September 17, 2026, at SGMC Valdosta.

He was born November 20, 1960, in Hazlehurst to the late Jack Rentz and the late Caroline Brewer Rentz. He worked as a truck driver and was a machinist with Nashville Mills for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, running dogs and was a member of Stockton Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Linda Rentz of Lakeland; 2 daughters: Ali (Jason) Johnson of Stockton and Sam (Casey) Shipman of Lakland; 4 grandchildren: Emma, Carson, Gracie and Case; sister: Jackee (Greg) Wigley of Hazlehurst; niece Chelsee Wigley; nephew: Trey (Amberly) Wigley; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

His family will have a celebration of life on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 2PM at his residence.
