David Tucker, 71, of Baxley, died Wednesday March 27, 2024 at the Miller County Hospital in Colquitt.

He was born July 15, 1952 in Atlanta to the late Robert Wallace Tucker and the late Virginia Harris Tucker. Before he became sick, he was employed with GA Power as a chemistry technician for 10 years. He also taught school in Nahunta, Claxton, Augusta and Twin City. He loved being outdoors, nature and animals. He was a member of Phillipi Baptist Church in Baxley.

He is survived by his wife: Carol Tucker of Baxley; 2 sisters: Bonnie Duncan of Savannah and Melody Carter of Hahira; brother: Harris Tucker of Tifton; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday April 3, 2024 at 2 PM in the Omega Cemetery in Baxley. Visitation is Wednesday thirty minutes prior to the service in the cemetery.
