Debra Kaye “Debbie” Griffin, 71, died Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at her residence.

She was born January 15, 1955, in Cook County to the late Frank Fender and the late Lillian Lavonne Roberts Fender. She was a homemaker, LPN, loved her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed working with area florist, going to the beach, fishing and her home was always open to anyone. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Elizabeth Thomas, Linda Edwards and Joyce Carter; brother: Wayne Fender.

She is survived by her husband: James Griffin of Nashville; daughter: Kelly (Joe) Thompson of Tifton; 3 sons: Mitch (Christie) Griffin of Nashville, Andy (Brandi) Griffin of Nashville and Dusty (Marcy) Griffin of Nashville; 11 grandchildren: Kelsey Spurlock, Gracie Spurlock, Jasper Thompson, Jake Griffin, Charley Griffin, Karlie Suggs, Kaitlyn Ray, Adam Ray, Hannah Moore, Natalie Moore and Elizabeth Moore; 2 great-grandchildren: Brynleigh and Georgia.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 7 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Mr. Joe Thompson officiating. Visitation will be held in the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
