Delane Walker's Obituary
Delane Walker, 64, of West Berrien Community, died Wednesday October 5, 2016 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
She was born February 27, 1952 in Tift County to the late Arthur Preston Brown and the late Alease Jackson Brown. She was a graduate of Statesboro High School and Albany State University. She was a special education teacher for many years in the Bainbridge and Donaldsonville School Systems. She was a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Danny Walker of West Berrien; daughter: Maryiah (Roy) Roberts of West Berrien; son: David (Stacy) Walker of Eugene, OR; 3 sisters: Drucilla Harper of Enigma, Eteva Moorehouse of Brookfield and Debbie Brown of Tifton; 2 brothers: Larry Brown of Enigma and Herman Brown of Tifton; 4 grandchildren: Dani Roberts, Emily Roberts, Anastacia Walker and Autumn Walker.
Funeral services will be held Friday October 7, 2016 at 3 PM in the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Potts officiating. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation is at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church; C/O Mr. Sonny Luke, 1771 Hall Whitley Road, Tifton, GA 31794.
