Don Alton Whitley, 70, of Alapaha, died Monday December 22, 2025, in Ochlocknee.

He was born June 6, 1955, in Cook County to the late Robert Lee Whitley and Doris Shaw Whitley. He was a supervisor with Nashville Mills for 40 years, loved his family, working with his cows and was a member of the Nashville Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife: Sue Whitley; 3 sisters: Ruby Gray, Linda (Troy) Taylor and Annell Bradford; 3 brothers: Carroll Whitley, Jerry Whitley and Ronald "Larry" Whitley.

He is survived by his daughter: Stacey Whitley of Nashville; sister: Jo Ann (Dennis) Knight of Ochlocknee; granddaughter: Amber (Cody) Harris of Adel; 2 great grandchildren: Oliver and Olivia Harris; 5 brothers: Robert "Bud" Whitley, Terrell Whitley both of Alapaha, Wayman Whitley, Earl Whitley both of Nashville and Clifton "Kip" (Shirley) Whitley of Tifton; 3 special nieces: Candi (Russ) McClellan, Felecia Horne and Nikki Whitley; nephew: Bert Whitley; many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will honor his request for cremation and no formal services will be held.
