Obituary

Donald Lee Sumner, 69, of Nashville, died Thursday May 20, 2021 at his residence.

He was born June 7, 1951 in Cook County to the late Robert Sumner and the late Lucille Ray Sumner. He worked at Fiberglass and Wood for years in Nashville and was retired antique parts owner of Chevy & GMC, known as The Truck Shop in Nashville. He truly loved antique cars, trucks and his family. He was preceded in death by a sister: Janice Whitley; 2 brothers: Morris Ray Sumner and Randall Sumner.

He is survived by his wife: Linda Cook Sumner of Nashville; 2 sons: Kevin Sumner and Chris Sumner both of Nashville; 2 brothers: Earl Wayne Sumner of Sparks and Bobby (Jane) Sumner of Sparks; 2 grandchildren: Gavin Sumner and Adalee Sumner; 2 sisters-in-law: Nell (Sam) Walden of Adel and Betty Miller of Nashville.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday May 22, 2021 at 4 PM in the Nashville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Johnny Hendley officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 3 PM to 3:45 PM.
