Donna Wee Nelms, 96, of Nashville, died Friday September 2, 2022 at SGMC Berrien Campus.

She was born October 16, 1925 in Atkinson County to the late Elijah Cook and the late Mary Burch Cook. She was a homemaker and retired bus driver with the Berrien County Boad of Education.  She attended the Nashville Mission for many years and also attended Faith Chapel. She was the widow of George Dorsey Nelms who died in 1988 and was also preceded in death by 4 sisters: Jessie Bell Gilliard, Jean Speckert, Clarice Gilliard and Angie Lyons.

She is survived by her daughter: Marie Lindsey of Nashville; 3 grandchildren: Shannon Lindsey, Steve Lindsey and Shawn (Laura) Lindsey all of Nashville; 5 great grandchildren: Michael Lindsey, Meagan Lindsey, Sage Lindsey, Kirstin Shivers and Beau Lindsey; sister: Janice Sayyah of Nashville.

Funeral services will be held Sunday September 4, 2022 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Luke officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Sunday one hour prior to the service. Memorials are requested to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
