Doris Louise Croley Conrad, 86, of Nashville, died Tuesday June 20, 2023 in the Berrien Nursing Center.
She was born January 18, 1937 in Thomas County to the late Charlie Brock and the late Ester Pollock Brock. She was better known as "Grandma" to all! Most of her young life she spent as a waitress and raising her children. She later spent her years, running her produce stand B&D Produce. She made a living putting up fresh produce and was known for her boiled peanuts and greasy burgers. She was a member of the Ruth Forrester Missionary Baptist Church, loved attending church and worshipping the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husbands: James Preston Croley and Jasper Madison Conrad; daughter: Jeanine Croley; son: Robin Dayne Croley; 2 sisters: Nora Mae Griffin and Laverne Church; 4 brothers: Marion Brock, Cecil Brock, Carl Brock and Charles Brock.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Debbie Jones of Cairo, Brenda (Steve Rogers) Burkett of Thomasville and Diane (Bobby) Gelatt of Nashville; son: Randy (Tonya) Croley of Pavo; 18 grandchildren: Travis (Kristina) Stracener of Cairo, Tracy (Bryan) Cornwell of Crawfordville, FL, Trina (Scott) Henson of Cairo, Mandy (Mark) Matheny of Cartersville, Hope Croley of Thomasville, David (Jessica) Burkett of Pelham, Jamie Allen of Cairo, Kim (Bobo) Jordan of Cairo, Louis Asbell of Cairo, Heather (Shawn) Gray of Cairo, Laura (Troy) Tillery of Virginia, Chelsea Nevles of Moutrie, Chase (Catie) Lewis, Hunter (Logan) Macelreath, Forrest Macelreath, Haley (David) Hobbs, Wesley Gelatt and Madison Gelatt; Very special sister-in-law: Katie Brock of Wakulla, FL; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday June 24, 2023 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Ochlocknee cemetery. Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
