Obituary

Doris Chestine Exum, 83, of Lenox, died Saturday March 6, 2021 in the Southwell Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born September 2, 1937 in Atkinson County to the late Chester Cooper and the late Bernice Hill Cooper. She was a homemaker, worked in daycare and for many years loved and cared for Caden and Courson Taylor. She was a member of Flat Creek Church and was the widow of Henry "Buddy" Exum who died in 2015. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren: Albert Shively and Kye Jones.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Teresa (Keith) Lewis of Nashville, Alisa (Al) Brogdon of Nashville and Carolyn (Rick) Slater of Sparks; son: Charles Darley of Willacoochee; sister: Ethel Corbitt of Jacksonville, FL; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a niece and 2 nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 9, 2021 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Swain officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
