Doris Lewis' Obituary
Doris Lewis, 89, of Holly Hill, FL formerly of Valdosta, died Tuesday November 14, 2017 at her residence.
She was born April 7, 1928 in Pavo to the late George Roe Dennis and the late Bessie Guthrie Dennis. She was a homemaker and had worked as a waitress and cashier. She was preceded in death by 7 brothers: George, Gene, Edwin , Sam, Charles, Richard and Eston Dennis; 1 sister: Minnie Ruth Godwin.
She is survived by her son: Wayne (Karen) Lewis of Ormond Beach, FL; daughter: Barbara Gail (Stephen) Fyffe of Canaveral, FL; step daughter: Evelyn Lawanna Cunningham of Valdosta; 4 grandchildren: David Lewis, Clinton Fyffe, Charlotte Renee Beverly and Sam (Amanda) Lewis; 5 great grandchildren: Zachary Ray, Connor Ray, Annabelle Lewis, Ashton Lewis and Benjamin Lewis; 5 sisters: Mildred Maxwell, Dorothy Rogers, Roberta Robertson, Molly Sauls and Kathy Booth.
A graveside funeral service will be held Friday November 17, 2017 at 2 PM in the Nashville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Visitation is Friday from noon until 1:30 at Lovein Funeral Home.
