Doris Stone's Obituary
Doris Stone, 91, of Alapaha died Tuesday June 26, 2012 in the Tift Regional Medical Center.
She was born November 12, 1920 in Berrien County to the late Eston Solomon and the late Rachel Griffin. She was a homemaker and member of Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church. She was the widow of Hazel Stone, and also preceded in death by a son: Raymond Stone and 3 brothers: Charles Solomon, Tillman Solomon, and Harold "Babs" Solomon.
She is survived by 2 sons: Roy Stone and Lamar Stone both of Alapaha; sister: Nell Rose Nugent of Alapaha; brother: Talmadge Solomon of Jacksonville, FL; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday June 29, 2012 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Fussell officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Paron Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6 to 8 PM.
