Dorothy Pauline Giddens, 91, of Nashville, died Friday August 16, 2019 in the Berrien Nursing Center.

She was born March 17, 1928 in Cook County to the late Clarence Homer Cornelius and the late Pauline Connell Cornelius. She was a homemaker, a CNA with Berrien County Hospital for over 20 years and a member of Faith Chapel. She was so blessed to be a part of a very large family and was looked upon with motherly love by many. She was the widow of Willie Martin and Marvin Giddens. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Gail Blount; 2 sisters: Maxine Tatum and Leila Jeffords; 3 brothers: Clarence Cornelius, Jr, Bennie Cornelius and Earl Cornelius.

She is survived by her daughter: Paula Marshall of Nashville; son: Keith (Cindy) Martin of Valdosta; son-in-law: Edward Blount of Nashville; 2 sisters: Sue Lasseter of Nashville and Faye Simpson of Lake Butler, FL; 5 brothers: Rudolph Cornelius of Nashville, Donald Cornelius of Nashville, Harry Cornelius of Nashville, David Cornelius of Nashville and Robert Cornelius of Thomasville; 4 grandchildren: Heather (Scott Yarbrough) Marshall, Angie Blount, Karlie (Philip) Braley and Kaycee Martin; 7 great grandchildren; Mackenzie (Dakota Lee) Kieon, Jarrett Kieon, Aleyson Stewart, Kaytlyn Blount, Braydon Blount, Bentley Blount and Cassi Blount; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Sunday August 18, 2019 at 4 pm in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Long Bridge Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday one hour prior to the service.
