Dorothy Miller Hughes, 86, of Ray City, died Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the Langdale Hospice House.

She was born November 23, 1938, in Dothan, AL to the late Wallace Miller and the late Lula Mae Mills Miller. She worked at PCA in Valdosta for years and attended Good Hope Baptist Church. She was the widow of Owen Bradley Hughes who died in 2024 and was also preceded in death by a daughter: Anna Hughes; son: Owen Bradley Hughes II, granddaughter: Jessica Terri; a brother and 5 sisters.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Sheila Sellars of Nashville, TN, Kathy (Greg) Bowling of Lake Park and Sue Brunt of Valdosta; sister: Cheryl Miller of Lehigh Acres, FL; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family will honor request for cremation and no formal services will be held.
