Dorothy Pafford Joiner,73, of Sparks, GA died Thursday January 18, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center.

She was born October 19, 1944 in Cook County to the late Elias Pafford and the late Gladys Rowe Pafford. She was retired from Cook Community Bank, a homemaker and attended Flat Creek Church. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Edith Pafford and Vivian Pafford Felts; brother: Julian Pafford.

She is survived by her husband: Jim Joiner of Sparks; 2 daughters: Stacey Joiner of Nashville and Jenny (Dan Alan) Taylor of Nashville; 2 granddaughters: Macy and Ellie Taylor; 3 sisters: Ann (Neil) Gaskins, Janice (Larry) Cooper and Judy Gatlin all of Nashville; 3 brothers: Emory (Amy) Pafford of Nashville, Jody (Jewel) Pafford of Valdosta and Jerry Pafford of Nashville; 4 sisters-in-law: Nita Fender, Chlois Lollis and Ellen (Dan) Graham all of Adel, Hildred Pafford of Gallatin, TN; special friends: Dan & Glenda Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday January 21, 2018 at 4 PM in Flat Creek Church with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey, Rev. Brian Fuller, Rev. Chris Martin and Rev. Olan Witt officiating. Interment will be Monday January 22, 2018 at 11 AM in Nashville Memorial Garden. Visitation will be Sunday 1:30 PM until hour of service at Flat Creek Church
