Dorothy Louise Mock, 74, of Nashville, died Thursday June 8, 2023 in the Berrien Nursing Center.

She was born February 27, 1949 in Ben Hill County to the late James Yancey and the late Dorothy Sue Wiley Yancey. She was a homemaker and worked in housekeeping for the Berrien Nursing Center for over 20 years. She was of the Holiness faith and was the widow of William Thomas Mock who died in 2012. She was also preceded in death by a sister: Linda Baldree and a brother: Robert Yancey.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Cynthia Leaf of Nashville and Melissa (Wayne) Lamb of Nashville; son: Jimmy Mock of Enigma; 3 brothers: Lamar Yancey of Fitzgerald, Kenneth Yancey of Nashville and Victor Yancey of Sparks; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday June 12, 2023 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Monday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
