Drucilla Lynn Harper, 84, of Alapaha, died Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia.
She was born June 15, 1941, in Colquitt County to the late Arthur Preston Brown and the late Alease Jackson Brown. She was a homemaker, retired bookkeeper, worked on the family farm and for several years worked at the Prestolite in Tifton. She was the widow of Rev. Edwin Eugene Harper who died in 1995 and was also preceded in death a daughter: Loretta Lynn "Pickle" Harper; son: Duran David Harper; 2 sisters: Eteva Moorehouse and Delane Walker; brother: Herman Brown; nephew: Andy Lupo and a great granddaughter.
She is survived by a daughter: Melinda (Christopher) McFarland of Alapaha; son: Gerald Harper of Alapaha; sister: Debbie Brown of Tifton; brother: Larry (Debra) Brown of Enigma; 6 grandchildren: Candice Harper, Kimberly Harper, Julie Drawdy, Katie McFarland, Allie McFarland and Josh McFarland; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 2, 2026, at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Garvie Nichols, Jr officiating. Interment will follow in the Vickers cemetery. Visitation is Friday in the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
