Earl Richard "Dick" Reed, 65, of Nashville, died Tuesday June 17, 2014 in the South Georgia Medical Center.

He was born October 8, 1948 in Warren, Pennsylvania to the late Paul Reed and the late Vivian York. He was a retired mechanist with Specialty Conversion in Nashville and a member of Community United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by 2 sons: Dennis McEldowney and Jason McEldowney.

He is survived by his wife: Donna Mudge Reed of Nashville; daughter: Michelle (Keith) Thompson of Nashville; son: Jamie (Christy) McEldowney of Shelbyville, KY; 2 sisters: Anita Caldwell and Shirley Petty both of Corry, PA; 2 brothers: Paul Reed of Corry, PA and Daniel Reed of Winston Salem, NC; 5 grandchildren: Kayla, Kyle, Kelsey, Jesse, and Jillian; 2 great grandchildren: Karter and Cooper.

The family will honor his request for cremation. A memorial service will be held Saturday June 21, 2014 at 2 PM in the Community United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Bridges officiating.
