Earl Wayne Fender, 77, of Nashville died Wednesday February 8, 2017 at SGMC Berrien Campus.
He was born March 29, 1939 in Cook County to the late John S. Fender and the late Della Connell Fender. He was employed with the Berrien County Board of Education as a bus driver for over fifty years and served in the U.S. Army. He owned Wayne's Paint and Body Service for over 30 years and has served his community with Wayne's Wrecker Service since 1965. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Mildred Hamm and Aline Harpe.
He is survived by his wife: Jean McNabb Fender of Nashville; companion: Dianne Spurlock of Nashville; son: Scott (Jennifer) Fender of Nashville; 4 daughters: Monica (Kenny) Kauffman of Nashville, Roni (Russell) Warren of Alapaha, Julie (Denise) Shirley of Nashville, and Mandy Spurlock of Nashville; 2 sisters: Barbara Durrance of Nashville and Kathleen Adrian of Nashville; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
The family has honored his request for cremation. A memorial service will be held Saturday February 11, 2017 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Swain officiating.
