Thomas Earl Powell, 84, of Nashville, died Wednesday November 2, 2022 at his residence.

He was born August 1, 1938 in Lowndes County to the late Hubert Powell and the late Oppie Lee Hancock Powell. He was a retired draftsman with civil service at Moody Air Force Base and was of the Baptist faith. He was a Mason in Duncan Lodge #234 where he served for many years as secretary and was also a Past Worshipful Master; a Shriner with Hason Temple and retired from the Nashville Fire Department after 30 years of service, 15 of which as Chief.

He is survived by 2 daughters: Neva (Bill) McPherson of Milledgeville and Stacy Powell of Nashville; son: Eric (Jessica) Powell of Charleston, SC; brother: Donald (Sue) Powell of Nashville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday November 5, 2022 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Mr. Don Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery with Masonic Rites. Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the service.
