Earnest Talmadge Parr's Obituary
Earnest Talmadge Parr, 95, of Tifton, died Sunday October 30, 2016 in the Legacy Assistance Living in Tifton.
He was born April 20, 1921 in Ocilla, GA to the late Earnest Parr and the late Mattie Rowe Parr. He retired as an assistant supervisor in the sewer and drainage department for the city of Jacksonville, FL. He served in the United States Navy with a Seabee's Team during WWII. He was a member of Glory United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 76 years: Wylene Tucker Parr of Tifton and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 2, 2016 at 10 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Hauser officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Paron Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service.
