Edwin Adolph "Ed" Gerisch, 84, of Nashville died Thursday November 7, 2019 at his residence.

He was born September 28, 1935 in Detroit, MI to the late Charles Edwin Gerisch and the late Viola Marcott Gerisch.  He retired as Sergeant first class from the U. S. Army as a Bradley weapons specialist and the National Guard after 21years in administration.  He was preceded in death by his wife Maebeth Gerisch who died in 2011.

He is survived by 3 daughters: Angela (Rick) Bush of Atlanta, Cari Douglas of Nashville, and Staci (Rich) Dunlop of Vidalia; 2 sons: Keith (Lori) Gerisch of Nashville and Stephen Gerisch of Little Rock, AR; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Marlene Gerisch of Michigan and Linda Gerisch of Michigan; brother: Mark (Judy) Gerisch of Michigan.

The family will honor his request for cremation.  A service will be held Thursday November 14, 2019 at 1 PM in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery (8819 U.S. Hwy 301 Glennville, GA 30427) with full military honors.
