Eddy Bennett, 69, of Stockton died Tuesday August 20, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center.

He was born May 4, 1950 in Lanier County to the late Willie Bennett and the late Mary Magdlane Lightsey Bennett.  He was member of Knights Memorial Chapel. He was preceded in death by his sister: Pearl Dozier;  5 brothers: Bobby, Johnny, Billy, Leon and Lawton Bennett.

He is survived by his wife: Sheila McKay Bennett of Stockton; step daughter: Daisy Jones of Savannah; step son: Bobby Jones of Ripley, TN; 2 sisters: Rose McCullers of Nashville and Lennie Morgan of Stockton; brother: Jimmy Bennett of Stockton; one grandson.

A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday August 22, 2019 at 11 am in Lovejoy Cemetery with  Rev. Michael Taylor officiating.  Visitation is in the cemetery one hour prior to the service .
