Marcus Edgar Bennett, 96, of Nashville died Saturday July 23, 2016 in the Golden Living Center.
He was born July 7, 1920 in Berrien County to the late John Thomas Bennett and the late Thelma Hayes Bennett. He was a retired carpenter, attended Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and the widower of Agnes Jones Bennett and Katie Elizabeth "Betty" Boykin Bennett. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
He is survived by 4 daughters: Wanda (Lester) Brookshire of Rome, Becky (Rev. Steve) Davis of Ludowici, Mary (Rev. Freddie) Stone of Nashville and Joye Bennett of Nashville; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday July 27, 2016 at 10 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Connell officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 PM. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
