Edith Blount, 71, of Nashville died Sunday August 17, 2025, at Berrien Oaks Nursing Center.

She was born July 27, 1954, in Tift County to the late Jesse Bryant "J.B." Goodman and the late Pat Goodman. She worked at Circle K in Nashville and was a member of Church of God in Lakeland where she volunteered driving the church bus. She enjoyed her family and visiting with friends and listening to gospel music. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters: June Cooper, Betty Browning, Annetta Brady and Janie Brooks; 2 brothers: J.L. Goodman and David Benton.

She is survived by 2 sons: Kevin James (Brandy) Benefield of Lakeland and Cassidy Shawn Benefield of Myrtle Beach, SC; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Peggy Goodman of Blackshear, Nancy Filipo of Poulan and Diane Sirmans of Ray City; several nieces and nephews.

Her family will honor her request for cremation and no formal services will be held.
