Effie Jane Brighton, 61, of Nashville died Saturday June 1, 2019 in Tift Regional Medical Center.

She was born August 24, 1957 in Albany, GA to Wylene Marie Jordan Skinner and the late Eugene Clanton.  She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband: John Brighton of Nashville; daughter: Mandy Carter of Adel; son: Jason Stanfield of Vero Beach, FL; 2 granddaughters: Victoria Carter and Erica Carter; mother: Wylene Marie Jordan Skinner of Nashville; 2 sisters: Debbie Harris of Bessemer, AL and Teresa Clanton of Atlanta; 3 brothers: Larry Clanton of Elkton, FL, Curtis Clanton of Lake City, FL and David Clanton of Nashville.

Funeral services will held Tuesday June 4, 2019 at 4 pm in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with  Rev. J. W. Dukes, III and Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiating.  Interment will follow in Empire Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
