Elbert Emory Bailey, 72, of Nashville died Thursday September 6, 2012 at his residence.
He was born December 15, 1939 in Ben Hill County to the late Emory Bailey and the late Mattie Lucy Childs. He retired from Chaparral Boats as plant manager and attended Flat Creek Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter Gina Lynn Bailey who died in 1973.
He is survived by his wife: Virginia Poole Bailey of Nashville; son: Michael (Lakin) Bailey of Nashville; granddaughter: Addie Bailey of Nashville; 2 sisters: Jeanette Starling of Valdosta and Mary Grace Faircloth of Sparks; brother: Jimmy Bailey of Nashville; brother-in-law: Lamar Poole of Pearson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday September 8, 2012 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 7 to 9 PM.
