Mary Elizabeth Fender Thomas, 73, of Nashville died Thursday March 19, 2020 at her residence.

She was born September 29, 1946 in Cook County to the late Frank Fender and the late Lavone Roberts.  She was a homemaker and retired machinist with Nashville Textile.  She is preceded in death by her husband: Charles Norman "Buddy" Thomas who died in 1993; son: Charles Scott Thomas who died in 2011.

She is survived by a daughter: Melissa "Missy" Thomas of Nashville; granddaughter: Erika Thomas of Lakeland; grandson: Zach (Melissa) Thomas of Nashville; great grandson: Levi Thomas of Nashville; 2 great granddaughters: Elli Thomas and Khloe Montoya both of Lakeland.

The family has honored her request for cremation and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
