Obituary

Elma Nelly Hutto, 100, of Byron, formerly of Alapaha, died Wednesday December 25, 2024 at the Fountain Blue Rehab Center in Macon.

She was born September 4, 1924 in Berrien County to the late Pleas McSwain and the late Minnie Yawn McSwain. She was a homemaker and attended Rowetown Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Clarence Morris and Lewis Hutto; son: Curtis Morris; 4 sisters: Mattie Pitts, Alice Youghn, Mamie Amser, Myra Johns; brother: Troy Swain.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Virginia Gail Morris Bond of Byron and Carolyn Stoneburner of Colorado Springs, CO; 2 sons: Vernon E. Morris of Byron and Troy Hutto of Byron; 10 grandchildren: Leslie Stoneburner, Amanda Stoneburner and Gena Stoneburner Kemp all of Colorado Springs, CO, Shane Morris and Dwaine Morris both of Waynesville, MO, Amanda Morris, Paul Morris and Ashley Hutto all of Macon, Mathew Morris of Atlanta and Corbin Hutto of Kentucky; 16 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday December 28, 2024 at 3 PM in the Rowetown cemetery. Visitation is in the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service.
