Eloise Harper Aaron, 89, of Alapaha, died Friday August 22, 2014 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.
She was born June 21, 1925 in Alapaha, Georgia to the late Henry Harper and the late Susie Roberts. She was a homemaker and retired from the Berrien County Board of Education after 20 years where she served as secretary for the board office, the high school, and the middle school. She was a member of New Griffin Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Milton Foy Aaron who died in 2003 and was also preceded in death by 2 sisters: Essie Swilley and Alma Nix; brother: Aldridge Harper.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Susan (Guy) Gupton of Duluth and Carla (Mark) Nixon of Dallas, TX; son: Milton F. (Pamela) Aaron, Jr of Alapaha; 4 grandchildren: Paige Gupton (Robert) Chopra, Jonathan Silverberg, David Silverberg, and Brianna Aaron.
Funeral services will be held Monday August 25, 2014 at 11 AM in the Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Purvis and the Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Paron Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 8 PM.
