Elton Eugene Griffin's Obituary
Elton Eugene Griffin, 53, of Ray City died Sunday January 1, 2017 in SGMC Berrien Campus.
He was born April 1, 1963 in Cook County to the late Billy Eugene Griffin and Patsy Harnage Griffin. He was retired from the Berrien Board of Education after 15 years on the custodial staff and worked as a mechanic for Chaparral Boats. He attended Nashville Holiness Church and was preceded in death by a sister: Rhonda Fay Boyd.
He is survived by his wife: Edna Whitten Griffin of Ray City; son: Billy (Kathy) Griffin of Naylor; 4 grandchildren: Lexi Griffin, Makala Reynolds, Chandler Griffin and Caleb Reynolds; mother: Patsy Griffin of Nashville; 2 sisters: Donna Fay Myers of Nashville and Marilyn Jackson of Nashville; brother: Howard Griffin of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday January 5, 2017 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 12 PM until hour of service.
