Emily Nicole Paulk, 28, "A Sweet Gentle Spirit", of Nashville, died Tuesday December 3, 2024 at her residence.

She was born July 30, 1996 in Thomasville, GA to Charles and Sara O'Brien Paulk. She was one who has walked with strength and grace through the most trying of times. Emily learned what is important in life and what she valued the most at an early age. She was more than a survivor; she had a true resilient spirit. Given the gift of faith to carry her through, she was an overcomer and a conqueror... steadfast in spirit. She had a radiance and transparency that drew us to Christ. Beautifully talented with the gift of the arts. Emily has walked out the Gospel before us with a boldness in her love for the Lord and in her burning desire to share the gospel and drew others to Him. She loved her family deeply and was a faithful friend to many. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother: Linda Paulk.

She is survived by her parents: Sara and Charles Paulk of Nashville; sister: Anna Paulk of Nashville; brother: Zachary Paulk of Nashville; maternal grandmother: Sherry O'Brien of Moultrie; maternal grandfather: Steve (Liz) O'Brien of San Diego, CA; paternal grandfather: Donald Paulk of Doerun; several aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday December 6, 2024 at 2 PM in the Nashville Methodist Church Family Life Center. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to Exhale for Emily for a scholarship (C/O First Commerce Bank in Nashville).

Emily's life verse: "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes..... Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great wealth in God's sight."
