Emma Lou Fauske Rector passed away on Sunday January 10, 2021 in the Langdale Hospice House.

She was born October 23, 1928 in Walla Walla, Washington to the late Albert Fauske and the late Dessie Beatrice Hood Ledbetter. She was a homemaker and member of the Nashville Church of Christ. She was the widow of Harold Rector who died in 2009. She was also preceded in death by a son: Rex Rector and a brother: Glen Fauske.

She enjoyed her time as an Air Force wife moving frequently while her children were young before moving to Nashville, Georgia in 1971. She lived in Nashville until 2017 before moving to Valdosta. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was a great a cook who treasured having her family with her on holidays, birthdays or any everyday occasion. Her love for cooking has been handed down to her children and grandson who still make her recipes, although usually not as good as she did. She was an Atlanta Braves fan, loved watching western movies and shows, was always ready to play dominos and loved eating fried shrimp. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter: Debbie Rector of Adel; 2 sons: Ron (Lori) Rector of Brunswick and Randy Rector of Valdosta; grandson: Ladd Rector of Brunswick; 2 brothers: J.H. Ledbetter of Amarillo, TX and Neal Ledbetter of Bushland, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday January 14, 2021 at 11 AM in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be in the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service.
