Ernest Owen Balliet, 71, of Nashville, died Tuesday May 25, 2021 at SGMC Valdosta.

He was born February 13, 1950 in Berrien County to the late Van Patrick Balliet and the late Essie Kirkland Balliet. He was a retired farmer, an Army veteran and served two tours during Vietnam.

He is survived by his son: Jared (Katherine) Balliet of Phoenix, AZ; grandson: Oliver Owen Balliet; sister: Christine Chrisman of Wayne, NJ; cousin: Nelson Pafford of Jacksonville, FL.

His family will honor his request for cremation. The family will have a time of celebration of life at a later date.
