Esau James "E.J." Whidden, age 93 of Nashville, died Saturday June 12 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ethel Long Whidden of Nashville; daughter, Anne Whidden Young of Las Vegas, NV; 3 sons, Jim (Sue) Whidden of Nashville, Jack (Scharline) Whidden of Moorehead, KY and Johnny Whidden of Fitzgerald; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles P. Whidden, Jr. and a sister, Billie Tovell.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the Nashville First Baptist Church with interment in the Westview cemetery. Rev. Stanley Luke, Rev. Billy Southerland and Rev. Owen Williams will officiate.

Visitation is Tuesday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
