Obituary

Euretha Cribb Hughes, 93, of Nashville, died Thursday March 7, 2024 at SGMC in Valdosta.

She was born March 12, 1930 in Berrien County to the late Walter Lee Cribb and the late Mary Lilly Willis Cribb. She was a homemaker and retired deputy clerk for the City of Nashville with 30 years of service. She was a member of the Nashville First Baptist Church and for many years was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of James Earl Hughes who died in 2020 and was also preceded in death by 5 sisters: Winnie Southwell, Mary Lee Rowe, Viola Wynn, Jenny Vickers and Othel Wilkerson; 4 brothers: Carter Cribb, Dennis Cribb, Waylon Cribb and Jerry Cribb.

She is survived by her son: Kenny (Marcia) Hughes of Nashville; 2 grandsons: James (Lauren) Hughes of Starke, FL and Mark (Samantha) Hughes of Nashville; 3 great grandchildren: Adalyn, Nathan and Amelia.

Funeral services will be held Sunday March 10, 2024 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Bennett and Rev. Paul Keffer officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Sunday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Nashville First Baptist Church.
