Everett Lee Maupin, 53, of Nashville, died Sunday December 4, 2016 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.
He was born October 14, 1963 in Lowndes County to the late William Edward Maupin and the late Juanita Gaskins Maupin. He was a graduate of Valdosta State University where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. For most of his life he lived in South Florida and South Georgia where he served many country clubs as a golf professional. He was also an independent insurance agent and an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He was a member of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Marsha Sumner Maupin of Nashville; daughter: Lacey Maupin of South Florida; step daughter: Jayde (Josh) Averitt of Lenox; 2 grandchildren: Alex and Gauge both of Lenox; brother: Billy (Lisa) Maupin of Boone, NC; niece: Alicia Maupin of Boone, NC; nephew: William Maupin of Boone, NC.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 7, 2016 at 2 PM in the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM.
