Obituary

Fannie Foxworth Fletcher, 80, of Nashville, died Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 18, 1944, in Berrien County to the late Leamon Foxworth and the late Samantha Grimes Foxworth. She worked as a shipping clerk at Nashville Textile for many years and was a member of Flat Creek Church. She loved her family, enjoyed cooking and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the widow of Ernest Frank Fletcher who died in 2019 and was also preceded in death by a son: Dewitt Fletcher; 2 sisters: Joan Sirmans and Betty Foxworth; brother: Virgil Foxworth; great great granddaughter: Birkley Raine Powell.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Sonya (Rev. Clarence) Luke of Nashville and Stacey (Robert) Watson of Nashville; 3 sisters: Charlotte Foxworth of Nashville, Ernestine Gaskins of Nashville and Freddie Ann Bostic of Adel; brother: Randall Foxworth of Pine Mountain; 9 grandchildren: Kacey (Stacy) Bristol, Josh (Tasha) Luke, Hayley (Walter) Parker, Lesley (Carson) Perkins, Eric (Marlee) Morris, Leslie (Hunter) Burbank, Kayla (Sam) Warren, Justin (Carrie) Watson and Julian Luke; 26 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her 2 special fur babies: Molly and Abby.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 11 AM in Flat Creek Church with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey and Rev. Blair Joiner officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Creek cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
