Frances
Burkhalter
August 4, 1950 – May 11, 2023
Frances Burkhalter, 72, of Dasher passed from this life to her heavenly reward on Thursday May 11, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. Frances was born in Berrien County to the late Eleck Warren and the late Rose Lee Baldree Warren. She was a faithful member of the Dasher church of Christ dedicating her life to serving the LORD, and to loving her family, especially her husband of fifty years, Gordon Lamar Burkhalter. Frances and Lamar were married on August 14, 1966, and were inseparable soul mates; Lamar preceded her in death when he entered his rest with the LORD in 2017. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Earl, Jerry, and Bobby Warren.
Frances served as a homemaker, and as the heart of her family, always loving with every ounce of life that she could give. She was a retired office manager from CJB Industries. She was a fervent servant to everyone who came into her life, and an encouragement unto far too many to name. Her delight came in the closeness of her friends and family. Frances had great compassion for others and was always a loyal friend at any time of need. She enjoyed most using her crafting and homemaking skills to bring others joy.
She is survived by daughter: Ruth (Bill) Daugherty of Valdosta; her son: Burt (Geri) Burkhalter of Dasher; 5 grandchildren: Sawyer, Linzie, and Tucker Burkhalter; Allie and Paige Daugherty; brother Randy Warren of Nashville; along with several nieces and nephews.
Her family will miss her more than words can describe, and there will be a great feeling of sorrow that her loss will leave in their lives and the lives of all who knew her. However, there is tremendous comfort in knowing that she is reunited with Daddy, while in the loving embrace of the Lord.
"But now he has died; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him" II Samuel 12:23
Visitation will be held at her residence on Sunday May 14, 2023, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday May 15, 2023, at 11 AM in the Dasher Cemetery with Mr. David Nelson officiating.
