Frances Ray, 88, of Nashville, died Thursday November 2, 2023 at the Fellowship Home in Valdosta.

She was born May 2, 1935 in Berrien County to the late Ward Williams and the late Allie Taylor Williams. She was a homemaker and worked with the Berrien County Training Center for years. She was a member of the Nashville First Baptist Church, a loving mother, grandmother and known as "Nana Frances". She was the widow of Troy Ray, Jr. who died in 1990.

She is survived by her daughter: Teresa (Brent) Merriman of Hahira; son: Greg (Pat) Ray of Nashville; sister: Margaret Jones of Gainesville; 5 grandchildren: Seth (Katie) Ray, Austin (Sarah) Merriman, Brittany (Jason) Wiggins, Dustin (Mindy) Merriman and Kristin (Dusty) Alexander; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday November 4, 2023 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Merriman officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Nashville First Baptist Church (301 W. Washington Ave, Nashville, GA 31639) or CASA (1015 Exum Rd., Nashville, GA 31639).
