Fritz Allen Potter "Pete" Templeton, age 76 of Lakeland, died Friday August 27 at his residence. He was retired from the US Army as an E-7 after 32 years of service.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Mary (Lamar) Brown and Susan (Donnie) Devane of Lake Park and Birdie (Jimmy) Stoddard of Clyattville; 2 sons, James (Melanie) Finney and Raymond (Melissa) Finney of Crawfordville; brother, John Templeton of Tacoma, Wash; 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Bennett Templeton who died August 19, 2007.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 1 at 10 am in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. David Cummings officiating. Interment will follow in the Long Bridge cemetery with full military honors.

Visitation is Tuesday 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
