Gary M. "Curly" Rooks, 70, of Nashville, died Thursday December 29, 2022 at SGMC in Valdosta.

He was born April 9, 1952 in Worth County to the late Joel Stanton Rooks and Katherine Mixon Turner. He was co-owner of Slim & Curly Upholstery for years and drove a school bus for the Berrien County Board of Education. He was preceded in death by his wife: Patsey Mae Bonds "Pat" Rooks who died in 2012 and was also preceded in death by his father-in-law: Johnny Bonds.

He is survived by his daughter: Connie Rooks Webb of Nashville; mother: Katherine Turner of Nashville; brother: Joel (Brenda) Rooks of Panama City Beach, FL; 2 sisters: Sherlyn (Ken) Barnett of South Carolina and Debbie Mathis of Nashville; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Monday January 2, 2023 at 6 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Visitation is Monday one hour prior to the service.
