Eugene Talmadge "Gene" Brogdon, 83, of Nashville, died Wednesday April 27, 2022 at his residence.

He was born January 22, 1939 in Berrien County to the late Clem Brogdon and the late Gladys Nix Brogdon. He was a retired residential/commercial painting contractor. He loved his family, work and especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Alma Dotson Brogdon who died in 2016; 2 grandsons: Paxton Griffin and Michael Brogdon; 3 brothers: Billy Brogdon, Terrell Brogdon and Vinson "Cotton" Brogdon.

He is survived by his daughter: Abbey (Darryl) Griffin of Nashville; 2 sons: Delbert Brogdon of Nashville and Taylor Brogdon of Adel; 2 sisters: Mildred Hall of Nashville and Betty Sumner of Nashville; 2 brothers: George Brogdon of Nashville and Jerry Brogdon of Nashville; 2 grandchildren: McKenzie Griffin and Lisa Warren Brogdon; 2 great grandchildren: Eli and Alora; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 30, 2022 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Clanton officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the services.
