Geneva "Pinky" Browning Harper, 88, of West Berrien Community, died Wednesday November 11, 2020 at her residence.
She was born February 9, 1932 in Berrien County to the late William Jasper Browning and the late Annie Mae Sutton Browning. She was a life long farmer's wife who enjoyed cooking, life long seamstress, avid gardener, enjoyed growing yellow roses in her yard and was known as Grandmama to all her extended family. She was a member of Oakey Grove Primitive Baptist Church in West Berrien. She married Mack E. Harper on May 28, 1949, two days after their graduation. They were married 53 years before Mack died in 2002. She was also preceded in death by a grandson: John David Wood, two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughter: Elaine Wood of West Berrien; 2 sons: Darrell (Susan) Harper of West Berrien and Chris Harper of Tifton; brother: Virgil "Puzzy" Browning of West Berrien; 9 grandchildren: Travis, Shonda, Michael, MacKenzie, Jessica, Justin, Angelique, Elena and Jesse; and 18 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday November 13, 2002 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Mr. Eddie Seagle officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakey Grove Cemetery. Visitation is Friday one hour prior to the service. The family will be gathering at the home of Justin and Sara Wood.
