Obituary

Gladys Harris, 89, of Nashville, died Saturday April 5, 2014 in the Berrien Nursing Center.

She was born September 27, 1924 in Berrien County to the late Dave Sutton and the late Lessie Taylor. She was a homemaker and was the retired office manager for Jenkins Chevrolet, McLendon Chevrolet and McCranie-Griner Chevrolet with 49 years of service. She was a member of the Nashville United Methodist Church and was the widow of Ralph Elsworth "Bud" Harris who died in 2006. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Susan Blevins who died in 2010.

She is survived by 2 sons: Wayne (Lynda) Harris of Moultrie and Jimmy (Marcia) Harris of Alapaha; son-in-law: Ed Blevins of Nashville; 5 grandchildren: Michael "Bubba" Harris, Doodle Harris, Jim Harris, David Blevins and Jennifer Dosey;7 great grandchildren: Kadience Harris, Katy Dosey, Lily Dosey, Victoria Dosey, Ann Harrell Blevins, Stella Blevins, and Amelia Blevins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 8, 2014 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Diane Harris and the Rev. Russ Elkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to the Disabled American Veterans.
