Glenda Joyce Porter, 75, of Nashville died Monday April 22, 2019 at her residence.

She was born January 6, 1944 in Lyons, GA to the late A. G. Horton and the late Dessie Clyde Carter Horton.  She was a Registered Nurse with Tift Regional Medical Center for over 23 years and attended A'New Way Baptist Church.  She was the widow of Jimmy Porter who died in 2015.  She was also preceded in death by a sister: Mary Edna Craft; brother: Ray Horton.

She is survived by her daughter: Dawn Taunton of Sparks; 2 granddaughters: Alex Taunton and Kendyl Taunton; special caregiver: Joyce Singletary and Jamey Inman.

Funeral services will be held Thursday April 25, 2019 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM.
