Gordon Lamar Burkhalter's Obituary
Gordon Lamar Burkhalter, 71, of Dasher died Sunday February 19, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center.
He was born July 3, 1945 in Polk County, FL to the late Phillip I. Burkhalter and the late Edna Brantley. He retired with plant maintenance at Valdosta State University and was a veteran of the Georgia Army National Guard. He was a member of Dasher Church of Christ and was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Griffin and a brother, Harold Burkhalter.
He is survived by his wife: Frances Warren Burkhalter of Dasher; daughter: Ruth (Bill) Daugherty of Naylor; son: Burt (Geri) Burkhalter of Dasher; 5 grandchildren: Sawyer, Linzie, Tucker, Allie, and Paige.
Graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday February 22, 2017 at 3 PM in the Dasher Cemetery with the Mr. David Nelson officiating. The body will lie in state at his residence until time of service.
