Grace Evelyn Taylor Friar, 88, of Thomaston formerly of West Berrien, died Tuesday July 23, 2019 at Molena Extended Care Facility.

She was born December 27, 1930 in Berrien County to the late Martin Taylor and the late Maliscia Holloway.  She was a retired educator from Lanier County.  She was preceded in death by 4 sisters: Trudy McNabb, Gertie Barber, Ruth Harris and Geraldine Champa; 4 brothers: James Taylor, Rueben Taylor, Riley Taylor and Rancil Taylor.

She is survived by 2 sons: Clay (Cindy) Friar of Thomaston and Edward Friar of Springfield, OR; 2 sisters: Josephine Joyce of West Berrien and Rudine Schmittou of West Berrien.

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 27, 2019 at 5 PM in Vickers Church with the Rev. Larry Carter officiating.  Interment will follow in Vickers Cemetery.  Visitation is one hour prior to the service.
