Grover Page "Buck" Browning, Jr., 83, of Nashville died Wednesday October 9, 2013 at his residence.
He was born August 21, 1930 in Berrien County to the late Grover Page Browning and the late Nancy Exum. He was retired machine maintenance with Nashville Mills and was a former Alderman for the City of Nashville. He attended Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Randy Clenney and an infant daughter: Kathleen Browning.
He is survived by his wife: Marjorie Roberts Browning of Nashville; 3 daughters: Rose Marie (Frank) Altman of Lady Lake, FL, Marlene (Dale) Baldree of Douglas, Karen (Danny) Whiddon of Nashville; 4 sons: Curtis (Karen) Browning of Valdosta, Marty (Ruth) Browning of Nashville, Randy Browning of Nashville, Matthew (Melisa) Browning of Nashville; 2 sisters: Effie Lee Vickers of Alapaha, Loudell Williams of Omega; 6 brothers: Rev. Jesse Lee Browning of Reidsville, Hubert Browning of Alapaha, J.B. Browning of Nashville, Vinson Browning of Nashville, Russell Browning of Nashville, Robert Browning of Alapaha; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Friday October 11, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Calvin, Rev. Steve Pickern, and the Rev. Jesse Lee Browning officiating. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7-9.
