Harold William Joiner, 73, of Nashville, died Monday January 6, 2020 in the South Georgia Medical Center.
He was born February 6, 1946 in Berrien County to the late Harvie Joiner and the late Louise Harper Joiner. He was a former Police Chief with the City of Alapaha and the City of Lenox, former detective with the Berrien County Sheriff's Office, and retired as a security officer with Valdosta State Prison. He was of the Pentecostal faith and was preceded in death by two sisters: Evelyn Joiner and Ann Joiner.
He is survived by his wife: Carlene Joiner of Nashville; 2 sons: Derek (Rebecca) Joiner of Nashville and Rev. Blair (Shannon) Joiner of Nashville; sister: Joyce Stone of Nashville; 3 brothers: Glendon Joiner of Nashville, Lamar Joiner of Nashville and Ronnie Joiner of Nashville; 7 grandchildren: Taylor (Jason) Roland, Harley (Dillan) Sammons, Dillan Graddy, Loren (Brandon) Suggs, Megan Joiner, Brayden Joiner and Paxton Joiner; 7 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday January 9, 2020 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey and the Rev. Blair Joiner officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday one hour prior to the service.
